Dear friends, we are happy to inform you
that we launched the new series —
«Piano transcriptions of orchestra masterpieces»

— In the vast ocean of works written for symphonic orchestra there are masterpieces that one could listen endlessly. Their charm, which is not always easy to explain never fail to inspire warmest feelings in the widest circles of music connoisseurs that crowns these works with the ‘hit’ title. I am convinced that there hardly exist a performer on any instrument that would not dream to include those masterpieces in his (her) repertoire and deliver onto the audience his (her) own interpretation of them (which is also quite safe considering popularity of those pieces) . However all of them are clad into magnificent attire of orchestra sound, which requires a hundred performers at the stage and thus limits the intensity of their concert life. But the desire of performers to play those unforgettable chez d’oevres as well as desire of audience to listen gives them the second birth – as transcriptions for numerous instruments or ensembles.

Grigory Korchmar
