Dear Visitors "Compozitor • St Petersburg" is considered to be one of the most prominent music publishing houses in Russia. We are glad to present our production to you. Our publishing house owns exclusive publishing rights for numerous compositions by outstanding composers from St Petersburg and the rest of Russia. We publish these compositions for the first time. All scores and parts are checked against the authors' manuscripts. The authors themselves take part in proof-reading. We collaborate with Gennady Banshchikov, Leonid Desyatnikov, Alexander Knaifel, Sergei Slonimsky, Boris Tishchenko, Yuri Falik and others. Our Publishing House's traditions date back to the Soviet epoch, when the orders for standard editions of the modern Russian composers' works were fulfilled. The staff of highly qualified professionals, including editors, setters, proof-readers, allow "Compozitor · St Petersburg" to compete successfully in the international market. Our Publishing House fulfils the orders of both national and foreign concert organizations, preparing music materials for performances. "Compozitor · St Petersburg" has participated in several world premières. Among them: the opera "Master and Margarite" by S. Slonimsky (EXPO 2000, German Pavillon, Hannover, Germany); the opera "Alice in Wonderland" by A. Knaifel (De Nederlandse Opera, Amsterdam, Holland); the Tenth Symphony by G. Mahler, completed by R. Barshai according to the remaining drafts (together with the Universal Edition, Vienna, Austria). Our mass production is based on music and books for educational purposes. We deliver them actually to all the regions of Russia, serving musical education institutions of different grades. Just now our catalogue comprises over 15 000 titles including the archives.
